Georgios Kyriacos Panagiotou is famous under his stage name George Michael. His rise to fame came mainly through his duo with Andrew Ridgeley known as Wham!. George Michael is one of the world's top selling music artists with over 100 million records sold. His debut solo album has clocked him over 25 million albums, and has earned him a no.1 spot for 7 of his singles in the United Kingdom. Recently though, George Michael has struggled with his health having suffered from a viral infection, and had to cancel a performance at Royal Albert Hall. He came close to losing his life, but just recently, improved and released from the hospital on Dec. 21, 2011.
