Gwen Renee Stefani parents were folk music fans and immersed her at a young age to artists like Bob Dylan and Emmylou Harris. As a young child, Stefani sang in musicals like "The Sound of Music and Evita", and after making a demo tape for her father, she was put into music lessons to train her "loopy, unpredicatble" voice.
Eric, Gwen's older brother, invited Gwen to provide the vocals for No Doubt, a band he was forming. 5 years later, they signed to Interscope Records. And, 4 years after that, No Doubt rose to fame.
