At 22, with a toddler at home and a career spent fighting to be taken seriously, Bhad Bhabie is facing a health battle that just delivered another blow.
TLDR
Bhad Bhabie says she received bad news from her doctor as she continues cancer treatment, leaning on faith, music, new motherhood, and the support of her fans.
Bad News, Fierce Resolve
The rapper, born Danielle Bregoli, told followers that her latest visit with doctors brought “bad news” as she continues treatment for cancer. Posting on X, she wrote, “Bad news from my doctor yesterday, god has the last say so, not my cancer,” signaling that whatever she heard in that exam room was serious enough to share, yet not specific enough to turn into tabloid guessing.

Bhad Bhabie first revealed her diagnosis in November 2024 after fans began speculating about her sudden weight loss. Addressing the comments on Instagram at the time, she apologized for looking thinner and explained that her cancer medication had affected her body, adding that she was slowly gaining the weight back and asking people to stop spreading the worst narratives about her health.
She has chosen to keep the exact type and stage of her cancer private. A family source confirmed to TMZ that she was undergoing treatment under medical supervision, but the artist herself has kept the focus on her mindset rather than her medical charts.

From Viral Teen to Artist
For many, Bhad Bhabie is still frozen in time as the outspoken 13-year-old who went viral on “Dr. Phil” in 2016. Her defiant line, “Catch me outside,” and the now-famous twist, “Cash me outside, how bout dat,” turned her into a meme, then into a brand.
What looked like a punchline became a recording contract. Over the next few years, she released music, toured, and tried to turn internet notoriety into a long-term career. In 2023, she told Basic Magazine that she had grown into her work, explaining, “I have always loved music. When I first started, I did not really have the confidence and did not think I could actually do it.” She said she once relied heavily on cowriters, but now does most of the writing herself, describing how she had evolved and wanted her catalog to reflect that shift from teenage spectacle to serious artist.
Looking back on her early tracks, she admitted that much of it felt childish, which matched her age at the time. She described learning how labels think about hits and marketing, and how getting older meant finally having a stronger voice in what she released.
Motherhood in the Middle
In the middle of that reinvention came another identity change. Bhad Bhabie welcomed daughter Kali Love with on-and-off partner Le Vaughn in March 2024. Speaking to Paper magazine shortly before giving birth, she said, “I feel very ready to be a mom,” and shared that she was excited for the simple “mom and daughter” moments, from dressing her baby to shopping trips and traveling together.
By May 2025, during a podcast conversation with Camilla Araujo, the “Geek’d” rapper said happiness had narrowed down to one thing. “The things that make me happy are just being a mom,” she explained, adding that she loved simply watching Kali discover the world and joking that her daughter “has my attitude.”
Her relationship with Le Vaughn has been turbulent, with breakups, reconciliations, and, in July 2024, her public accusation that he had been physically abusive. Now, as she faces a serious illness while co-parenting a young child, every update about her health carries a different weight. The girl who once dared the world to catch her outside is a young woman learning what it means to fight for time, privacy, and a future with her daughter.
