Martha Stewart Snaps: “I Told Him to Shut the H--- Up!”

They say opposites attract — but when America's queen of calm met Hollywood's most unpredictable star, things got downright weird.

An Unlikely Pairing

Martha Stewart, the reigning monarch of lifestyle perfection, recently found herself face-to-face with the chaos that is Matthew McConaughey. And no, this wasn't a movie set. It was the high-stakes stage of a Super Bowl® commercial for Uber Eats®.

During a revealing episode of "The Martha Stewart Podcast," Stewart told none other than McConaughey's longtime friend Kate Hudson that working with the Oscar® winner was a bit more than she bargained for.

InStyle reported Stewart admitted, "He got me scared actually," sending Hudson into fits of laughter.

The Method Behind the Madness

Stewart didn't hold back. She described how McConaughey fully immersed himself in the Uber Eats campaign, playing 10 different characters and taking a full 15 minutes to slip into each one. "He is a method actor, I think," Stewart explained, as reported by InStyle.

Hudson, familiar with McConaughey's quirks from their time together on the set of "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days", couldn't help but tease.

Grunts, Jumps, and... Pure Panic

As Stewart recounted, McConaughey would grunt, breathe heavily, and jump up and down to embody each role. "That scared me," she confessed bluntly. Hudson jumped in with her own memories, recalling that he always made "weird sounds" and did "crazy things" before each take, Entertainment Weekly reported.

It wasn't long before Stewart was joking about telling him to "shut the h--- up." But behind the laughter, Stewart admitted that McConaughey's eccentric style was unlike anything she had ever experienced.

Is There Real Beef Between Them?

Despite the dramatic retelling, there's no bad blood here — just two icons operating in very different universes. In fact, after the initial shock wore off, Stewart admitted McConaughey was nothing short of "fabulous" to work with.

"We have so much fun when we're working," Entertainment Weekly reported Hudson added, reminiscing fondly about her time with McConaughey on set. "It's been a long time."

And while Stewart might prefer a neatly folded napkin over a frenzied acting warm-up, even she couldn't deny the man's talent.

A Super Bowl Commercial for the Ages

For the big game, Uber Eats went all in — casting McConaughey to play everything from a medieval knight to a futuristic sci-fi hero, all while Stewart calmly prepared her signature Caesar salad in the background.

But even as McConaughey channeled his inner Shakespearean warrior, Stewart held her own.

Because if there's one thing tougher than a Hollywood actor lost in his method acting haze... it's Martha Stewart with a knife and a head of romaine.

Final Thoughts

In the end, Martha survived her brush with McConaughey madness — and might just have a new story to share over perfectly chilled martinis.

As for Matthew? Well, he's probably off somewhere grunting and leaping his way into his next unforgettable role.

And honestly? We wouldn't have it any other way.
